LOL Would hornyness be more palatable than honkyness for your bad self?

It might be of interest to the more sane contributors of this particular thread that I consider stock horns on VFR's apologetic and have stated so on ocassion. Shoehorning an air horn into any given bike is a matter of the type horn. Some have separate air sources and some have integral air sources. I do not have an air horn on any of my bikes. On my VFR I have two horn modules from a US made truck. I had a set of Fiamm's on a sportscar. (Triumph TR4) no relay. The diaphragm horn would sound first and if the horn button was held down the air pump would soon follow sounding the air horns.

What you missed there old buddy, was maybe a little too subtle. Certainly the temptation is there with a loud horn to blast away at any perceived offense. Do try to maintain some control of your temper else some really bad boy or girl might just take it the wrong way and you end up in a ditch crying for your mama.

Now if you were really a badass what you might do is find a horn from a diesel/electric locomotive connect that to a K bottle of air and put the whole rig on a trailer to tow behind your bike. You could be in parades and shit like that. If that doesn't suit, hit a boat shop for one of those boat horns. You can use one of those with one hand and use the other for even more self gratification.

Just stick with your lying, delusional bullshit, seems it's all you're good at.

Hmm, have the weak horn sound when the cager's drifting into your lane and delay the one he'd hear til your inbred ass is ran over. Yes, that's a good idea, in your case, a very good idea. BTW, your mom's car doesn't count.

Unlike you, I have a somewhat decent grip on reality and no problem using the horn only when someone is actually endangering my safety. As for tempers, I would very much like to show you mine, in person.

No thanks, the Stebel does the job for me. I do need a better horn for my car and the boat suggestion has possibilities, thanks! As for the hands, I'll keep mine on the bars but feel free to do as you like...

I installed a Stebel on mine, and it is loud. But I hate using a horn, on a bike or in a cage, unless it's to save my life or scare the shite out of someone. Any other use of a horn makes the user a poose.
(And it's hard to believe you two are brothers.)

My apologies. I was confused by your doppletganger who wrote this:

"Hee hee, it is SO enjoyable to bring cell-using, makeup-applying, coffee-drinking, texting, newspaper-reading, lane-drifting, late-for-an-appointment, fuck-you-motorcycles-are-dangerous-and-yes-I-own-the-road assholes back to realilty as they react like they've just been blasted by a big rig..."

...and please stop telling folks we are related and do keep your hands and elbows on the bar.

On this we agree: you are easily confused.

I never said I didn't enjoy giving someone endangering my safety a needed wake up.

I didn't start that one and I hope your mother learned from her mistake and not shit another one of you out...

Again my apologies to you, and both your dopplegangers "

" Ok, I'm fine with that because where it concerns you average textmessaging, cellphoning, gameplaying, makeupapplying, coffeedrinking, reportreading, lanedrifting, leftturnfromtherightlane, rightturnfromtheleftlane, IlldowhateverthefuckIwant and yesIowntheroad dumbass cager, I consider it completely reasonable to have a horn loud enough to be heard in the next star system."

The question now is should all four of us come clean and let everyone know that you are really a gay sister who from lack of any originality tends to repeat herself in the same thread?

We thank you but in some cultures like the Yakuza, one atones for a mistake by cutting off a finger. I'll gladly send you a knife if you need one.

Yet another case of selective quoting. Here's the entire post, including the part you accidently left off.

No, the question is how long it'll be before either the mods ban you or you pull your bullshit on someone face to face...

Hey all, what's the best way to gain acess to the horn location?? just reach up in there or does removing the tank or other panels help? Pardon the dumbass question but I haven't looked closely enough yet. I did just pick up a set of PIAA 500-600s

Well horn is smack dab in front of the forward cylnders so its a real PITA to get at. If you just need to diconect it you can just reach up under the fairing or remove the front wheel.
If you want to unbolt it the tank air box must come off... make sure you drain all the gas out of the tank and get 2 new crush washers for the fuel line.

Those fishtails that ya see on Harleys are cool. They kind of swish rather than whistle.

If a guy is handy and can't afford a whistle tip, an alternative is to go to the Goodwill or The Salivation Army, find an old whistling tea kettle and solder it on your muffler. By careful shifting and throttle control, some guys can even whistle pop tunes and the chicks really dig it.

'06 Gen-6 w/o ABS, so added the Screaming Banshee air horn under the left fairing. I went with option of leaving the factory horn in place and you can toot it for .2 sec before the air horn BLASTS. Also went with the setting to pulse the horn and high beam headlight. Extremely effective at vibrating cagers back into their place!!

They even have a VFR install video:

Curious as to how you wired the horn circuit to go with the high beams... I like that idea..

---> Curious as to how you wired the horn circuit to go with the high beams... I like that idea..

The horn kit came with wiring instructions and piggyback terminals that let you tap into the high beam wire, as well as set/jumper the delay time between the factory horn toot and the blast of the air horn.
