Thanks so much!!!!! Very much appreciated....

    Ordered from ProCaliber.

RockyMountain said they had them, but then once in cart, they showed on "backorder"..... And they'd receive them 20-Apr-2024. Not sure they'd ever get them.

    Thanks Again!

Likely, but don't know for yet, as I have not gotten the broken threads out as of yet.

Broke right off when I attempted to remove the smaller fairing bolt that screws into this larger bolt.

Rather than having the smaller bolt twist loose in the embedded threads, the main bolt sheared off at the frame (all with little torque from a small hex / allen key). So, likely not such a strong bolt as inferred....

I can't either.... sheered right off where the head meets the threaded stud; with little leverage from a short hex key (wasn't cranking on it with an extension on a socket or any crazy thing like that).

It's not grade 8 or anything like that, but sure didn't expect that to happen.

Well that sucks. Pretty common on these old bikes I'm afraid.
I wonder if you could order something from McMaster-Carr that might work? They have a lot of different fasteners.

If I had to resort to checking with a junkyard, I might look into Pinwall in north ohio....

They get bent over time. I have a couple of them here and they are slightly bent at the junction of the shank and the bearing surface on the bottom of the head. Especially if the subframe is sprung, even a little. Once bent, they are done.

a good junk yard will have internet and phone links to other yards that might have the part, so give that a try.
