Just like title says, I stripped one of the holes on my PCV when installing steel brake lines. Some of the threads are still in tact and the bolt catches, but it keeps spinning and can’t be torqued down so brake fluid leaks out. Im trying to find a proper tap set to rethread it but Im having trouble finding the right size. Ive tested a size 10 but it’s too small. The banjo bolt that is used is a standard 10x22 used in the all of the brake lines. Any recommendations for which bottoming tap (plug taps don’t reach down deep enough) to use? Would I be able to use some sort of sealant instead to prevent it from leaking? I really want to avoid replacing it because it looks like a real pain to get there, but I will if it comes down to it. Thanks in advance!
A tap can't put threads back into a hole. I think you might have no choice but replace that part. Sorry Man...
appreciate the feedback. I’m installing galfer lines and I hooked it up incorrectly. Trying to force a banjo bolt where it doesnt belong . All good now
