So I have 2 questions regarding what seems to be a relatively small slice of the bikes that were imported to the US. I know some, but not all, VFR700F bikes had extra parts on them to meet CA emissions standards. My questions are (1) how can we identify whether or not a bike was imported with CA emissions parts, and (2) what parts specifically came on those CA bikes to meet those emissions standards? My assumption is that any CA bike can have the extra emissions bits removed and it'll still run just fine, but I'd much rather ask than assume in a case like this.

They will have a sticker on the inner fender stating so, with a diagram of the equipment and it's routing. Charcoal canister, vacuum valves, etc.

The 700 CA bikes will also have hard lines coming off of the front head incorporated into emissions system. It re-burns some gaseous air from the air box, or some such hokey pokey bs.

The thing that really surprised me is that the 750 CA bikes do not have the hard pipes off of the front head. I confirmed that with the aforementioned fender sticker and it does not show them in the diagram with the other bullshit.

Yes it can all be deleted. Easily. I've done it a half dozen times now.

Not sure if the inner would help, all my body work is aftermarket. If I can get details on the emissions parts, I can just check manually and remove if found.

If it's a 700 it has ports on the head. Then look for a big stupid canister down in front by the headers
