True. But If thee were an accident, the engine cuts off, the fuel pump would continue to pump fuel without the fuel cut relay

Santa Claus came today. Not only the OEM (used) FP, but also a used Center Stand, some used blinkers I will have to restore, and another fuel tank.

This bike didn't have the Center Stand on it when I bought it. Probably removed for racing. My other RC15 did come with it's.

My FP cut relay should arrive tomorrow. I will check out this used FP tomorrow and see if it works, as advertised.

This is the second fuel tank I bo0ught off eBay in the past week. The first one is currently on the bike. The one I got today looks great except for two dings. I got both for what I considered to be a good value.....$155. incl. shipping for this one and $148. for the one last week.

Both came without senders and petcocks. I used my old sender which was still good on the tank currently on the bike and transferred the old petcock except with a new inside part, so it's like new.

    The first tank.......

Here's the one that came today.......

    The Center Stand.....

And the FP. The power wire is ripped up a bit so will have to splice in a new one......maybe off the old pump......

Huh. Same pump as the Magna. I think I replaced mine with one from an 83 Civic. Same pump but the bracket needs trimmed

Pretty good deals. Most tanks in that price range are usually FULL of rust and/or one side is completely caved in.

Thanks. The Center Stand was $42 incl. shipping and is in pretty good shape, plus came with the axle/pivot insert.

You're right about the tanks though. Some real horror stories on eBay....yikes! :D

As much as I'm trying to curtail spending...I couldn't pass these two up for the money. These might be good candidates for the Caswell epoxy coating too, I'm thinking. The one that came today has zero fuel odor inside. Little bit of surface rust but not bad at all.

On another note......I'd love to find a tank for my RC26 in good condition. They are scarcer than hen's teeth!

Saw that too. VFR with horns. Didn't the GSXR's have cool-air ducts from the cowl to the carb area?

Test it, then put it in your spare pack when you go for a long ride

Finally got everything hooked up. All working components. Now no fuel coming out of fuel pump. Frustrating....

1st thing to do is check power at the connector, right? Make sure power is being supplied?

    Use a 12v test light?

Start switch has to be engaged to test power to pump, right?

I know I have fuel coming in.....

    Thanks!

Engine has to be cranking or running. Pretty much, spark needs to be generating to energize the Fuel Cut Relay to allow power to pass to the fuel pump.

That's why it's nice to install a parallel toggle switch, so you can prime the fuel system with the flip of a switch.

So I could attach my gravity fuel bottle so it can run while I test voltage at the connector?

There are two wires in the connector...........should each one read 12v?

One lead on the contact and one on a ground?

Thanks - I'm not at good at electrical stuff...obviously......

Try toggling the kill switch and the pump should click
