how do you chrome the rear wheel hub ?

    Isn't that chunk also aluminum? When you send your wheels off to be polished or coated, send that piece as well so it matches.

    Even with chrome plating the roughness of the base surface needs to considered.

    The description here: https://www.sunrise-metal.com/blog-chrome-plating-aluminum/ seems right.

    With cheap or unknown new parts I wouldn't trust the quality. And flaking chrome doesn't look nice.
    The ebay'ed part does not look like it was used, does it?
