So Honda UK is coming out with a new hot naked bike, the CB1000R. How does this relate to us? It's got a single sided swingarm, and it looks like it has the same bolt pattern the VFR does. So hey, new wheels! Maybe. Some might not like the look of the wheel, but it should go well with the VFR's swoopy bodywork. Both bikes take the same tire sizes, so that lends me hope that the wheels might be compatible. http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/2008/CB1000R/index.html
Looks like the shock sits at a different angle, suggesting a different linkage setup. Might work with a different shock, who knows? Doesn't look like it'll be an easy swap.
Wow! A CB1900R! Now THAT would be something! Lemme see... Somewhere in the neighborhood of about 180rwhp, with maybe 130lb/ft torque... Redline around 9500 rpm. Would probably not be light; if they could keep it under 500lbs (dry) / 550lbs fully fueled it could be AWESOME! "Standard" / UJM styling would be perfect - no need to go the full "Racer-Rep" treatment with 1900cc's. Something along the lines of a CB1100F. Would trash that Triumph Rocket III! I WANT! I want, I want, I WANT! A CB1900R - Yum!
I think that Lieutenant Rat's comment is dripping with sarcasm...in other words, he was being silly, and dreaming at the same time. Just imagine, some manufacturer building a "sport" bike with that many CC's. Talk about TORQUE....and I am NOT talking about that gay ass bike movie of the same name.... That wheel does look heavy as hell though.
