1984 VF700F Breakdown

Hi all, was riding my bike on the freeway this morning when it felt like my bike started losing a bit of power. There was a pop then the bike started vibrating super hard. I pulled off to the side of the freeway and when I stopped, my temp gauge shot up to the max and my fans were no longer working. When I start it now, it still shudders and vibrates a lot and will just die a few seconds after starting. Because of the age of the bike i don’t think I’ll be able to get anyone to service it and I’m still pretty new to servicing this so I’m feeling a bit grim about the future of this bike. Does anyone know what might be the problem based on any of this?

 

Your description doesn't make me very optimistic.

Perhaps take a video with sound and post.

 

check the oil and coolant at least
