Bike has doing fine since 2019, only have done oil and tire changes. This weekend, i found the fuel tank leaked out from the tank level unit, needs new seal. Any one have a replacement for that, number and store, before i go measuring and searching?

While I'm waiting for the seal to come in, I've bee thinking about selling and going with a a newer VFR. Something more conducive to longer rides.

Some friends took a 3 day trip last year. I opted out because after a full day riding the 700, I'm glad to be home. I couldn't imagine doing that for a couple day straight.

I'd like something lighter and suitable for longer rides.

    Any suggestion?

SV 650 is comfortable, but tiring on the highway.

You want something a little heavier and with good wind protection. VFR is an excellent choice. I would have sold you my 07

yes, I'd like to stay with the VFR. I'm not fond of getting rid of the 700 but i'd like to travel more on the bike and i don't have the space for x2 bikes. . The 700 isn't practical for travel.

"lighter" and "suitable for longer rides" are usually contradictory to each other in this context. It sounds like you want:

"I'd like something comfortable and suitable for longer rides."

How old are you? How much do you weigh and how tall are you?

True- it's more about "suitable for longer ride."

The original seat unit would probably have made a big difference in the "long run". I've done a week, all day, every day on one of my 86. 5'11" - 185lbs.

Look for a more modern VFR I guess (98-01 would be my pick), but they became a little bigger/wider/heavier. You might not get you feet firmly on the ground at 5'7.
