1986 VFR RestoMod out of parts

Yes please do.
I'm starting to think about exhausts for my 86 stock VFR (to be refurbished this winter) and my project 86 VFR (the following winter but I might cheat and do some things here and there)

 

That is one sweet looking can! S bend mid pipe with a high mount would sure look good on there too, but I just love the traditional long can anyway it comes.

Took my 86 out today got a shake out .. headed to deals gap next week for a couple of days of twisted fun …

Just got back from Japan. Still diagnosing electrical issues on the NC35, but the weather for riding is perfect. Can't wait to take a ride this weekend.

 

Well... It's officially Summer and I hadn't de-winterized this one yet. Rectified that today.

my son is going to try out the RVF today while I try his upgraded Hawk.

 

Yours is officially the only bike I've seen other than my own that's used the RC26 designation in the graphics. I gotta say, I dig what you did with yours. What's the B0E decal for?

 

I need to replace the flag decals, they need some clear protection to last.



It's a play on the NR750 Endurance Racer with the flag and first 3 letters of the riders' last name.

 

OK. RC26-II upgrades have begun.

F3 fork lowers are painted. Duplicolor Graphite Wheel Coating for a base and Duplicolor Bronze Mist for the final color coats. 4 coats of 1K Matte Clear.



F3 front wheel was shot last night. Came out KILLER.









That is 4 coats Duplicolor Satin Black Wheel Coating and 4 coats Duplicolor 1K Matte Clear. Shop lights don't do it justice.

While the F3 and 94-97 front wheels are interchangeable, the F3 wheel is 2 lbs lighter.

F3 rear wheel is in the booth as I type painted black. Gearing up to put first coat of clear on.

 

Now that did come out killer!
