    Congrats on the new milestone.
    of interest:
What has your maintenance been like.
    Brake pad life?
Have u done a valve adjustment?
How long did your chain and sprockets last?
Any failures of parts or electronics?
    Ride safe.

chains are almost always shot by twenty thousand miles.

Just replaced all the brake pads on my VFR at 27000 miles, The rear pads still had plenty of life, but I just decided to replace them all. My chain and sprockets got me to 24000 miles, but the chain had some good kinks in it. I have done the 16000 mile valve inspection, replaced a VTEC and normal valve shim. Still on the original OEM battery, no other electrical gremlins except sometime the gear indicator can be a bit fussy. Did pop a fork seal around 18000 miles. Other servicing has been very straightforward.

I bought it in 2017. I've changed the chain twice, the sprockets once, and I just do regular fluid changes. I put new pads up front around 30,000 but only to switch to ebc double sintered. The factory pads were still ok. Finally replaced the battery this spring. And I'm never going to check the valves.
But the maintenance is boring. To me, the stories along the way are where it's at. I've had my vfr out west 3 times, I've been up pikes peak, done the tail of the dragon, rode an ironbutt saddlesore 1000, spent over 100 nights camping, etc. I've learned a lot about riding from it. Here's a couple pics .

Nice riding. And nice new seat too. I have ridden many places and have even gotten lost. But a good credit card and a GPS is all that is needed there. Just make sure that when you plot intersections into your GPS from Google Maps, you do in correctly. I have attempted the Canada to Mexico Iron Butt Insanity 2 times now and have not succeeded. But I have managed one Saddle Sore that was scored and have done a couple more without registering them. I've racked up about 227,000 km (141,000 miles) on my 2006. I've ridden them all or have been riding along side someone else riding my bike. It has been a great bike for me. My first ever experience at riding a bike was this one when I bought it new in 2006. But I have two now so the miles are not being racked up as fast as they used to.
