The initial fuel pipe coming out of my tank (petcock) decided to start seeping gas, so I replaced it with some line of the same diameter from Fortins; but now the tubing appears to kink up on the initial bend out of the petcock.. So I ask, is there a special kind of line I need for this area? What am I messing up here?

Sounds like you need some formed fuel line if you can't route it so it doesn't kink. Or try a different kind of fuel tubing. The OEM Honda tubing is dual layer and resists kinking where others will. But any tight radii, Honda will use formed line.

Sometimes going to a farm supply or lawn equipment store can be fruitful.

You can find formed fuel rated tubing with various radii online too, but it is not cheap usually.

Looks like it is a formed line, honestly didn't know that was a thing. Thanks.

You could get a brass junction with barbs on it, then you just T-up your lines that way> I saw one doode that did it on a gen3 bike, looked like a good solution to a problem (plus you could deal with an auto parts store) I like the OEM whores as they are generally better constructed.

a somewhat longer line might solve the problem if you can route it so curves are gentle, not severe.

I'm not sure how much room you have, but I solved this problem on my CB-1 (parts NLA) w/ stainless brewery parts years ago. :)

One day, maybe! I still fit on it and it makes me smile more than any other. Itis my 7th one. This one is a sport tourer. My first was my original track bike! That's Domenic behind me at NHIS. I wonder if he is still around...

    I like the matching wheels.

Mine's on the lift for new tires and an exhaust switch up.

I can't really tell from the pictures; how did you route the hose to utilize those two stainless brewery U? I'm having the same issue with pinched fuel hose under the tank.

The little 400 had two problem. 1-A single hose had different sized IDs on each end...that sucks right from Honda and I wanted that solved. 2-I could not find any hoses that would make the tight bends in the right place to mimic the OEM. This seemed like a reasonable solution, and I think that one run go between the two side sof one "U" for compactness.

These help at all? It is pretty snug in there, but it has worked flawlessly for years.

I think I might be able to figure it out now. I have a VFR 700; it has a molded 90° bend an inch after leaving the tank. Trying to figure out how to never have to deal with it again.

That's awesome Cap! Thanks! I was trying to figure out how to form rubber fuel hose with wire and boiling water, and that didn't work, then I figured I'd do hard line for the bends, but this seems super inexpensive for bent hose.
