Not so long time ago my 36-2 was at the mechanic to get alot made, like sync the carbs and also alot of stuff i always do myself like oil and oilfilter change, and i regret that so much now.

Because.. im pretty sure he gave my chain gear oil, and that is fine, he just gave it way to much and now i THINK its dripping down after collecting over my gear shifter.

Here is a link so you guys can se

My swingarm was messed in oil afterwards also, and it was a really messy job he made...He overall seemed like a goof of a mechanic and he will never touch my bike again...

But it could also be something else, because I have not idea why i did not notice this earlier, and that is why im afraid that it is a actually oil leak from somewhere, and not just oil from the chain that has accumulated and now dripping down.

Some days ago my gear began to "stick" pretty bad, every time my vfr have been holding still and got cold, if i pull the clutch its kinda stuck to the gear still, and i have to push hard, then it releases, and after that nothing, until it gets cold again.

I dont think this is related.. because im kinda sure this is gear oil from the chain but still...

I cleaned the place that you can se on the pic is messy, after that no oil dripped down anymore, was foced to drive 150 kilometers home after cleaning, and again, no further oil was dripping down. Checked oil level, and they are fine.

I really want to hear what you guys think, and i prey i dont have to take it apart or send it to a mechanic.

Probably lube. You can take off that small front chainwheel cover and clean the whole area by the chain, front to rear, top and under. The curious thing is that the chain in the pic looks dry...

Nearly 100% of motorcyclists I've ever met seem to get chain lube/adjust wrong...but it is like an engine oil discussion!

Motor oil on the chain ...? Does your bike have a Scottoiler?
Most likely - If the leak stopped it probably wasn't a leak. Maybe oil on the chain, allthough a dedicated chain lubricant would be common practice (Kædespray). I don't fully understand the description of the clutch/gear action issue. But since you experience something strange with that it could be that this is relating the clutch release mechanism and that the mess was not oil but hydraulic fluid from the clutch system ?

Not scotoiler but gearoil is a very common thing to lube your chain with, it is also what is recommended by most motorcycle and chain manufacturers. I was afraid it could be hydraulic fluid, but i guess i will find out when the cover comes of - probably tomorrow.
