About to buy a 2014 VFR800 w/19k miles. What should I look for? Are most/all parts still available?

At that mileage maybe due for a sprocket set and new chain. Hopefully air filter has been changed by now (Every 20,ooo kms)
Check clutch and brake fluid. Should be changed every 2 years. When was last oil and filter change.
Has coolant ever been changed if not flush and fill.
If tires require change Michelin Road 5 or 6, they are amazing tires.
Good luck , arguably one of the best street motorcycles ever made.

Thanks so much. I suppose I'll have to do a valve inspection as well. Not looking forward to that but I have done one on my Ninja 400.

I may be getting a bit ahead of myself as the deal is not finalized yet, but my friend has verbally indicated he will sell it to me for an extremely good price.

Valve adjustment has been increased to 24,000miles by Honda it is not 16,000 miles as you may think.

Are you looking at the Deluxe or Standard version? Definitely worth the extra dollars for Deluxe IMHO. 19,000mile is not a lot if its been cared for it should ride and run like its brand new.
Make sure you're getting all that should come with the bike when it was new.
    - Pillion seat.
    - Seat cowl.
    - Rider seat collars. These are used to position the seat to the highest position. So if the seat is currently in the lower position then make sure you get the collars.
    - Pillion handle blanking plates.
    - Toolkit located under the seat cowl.
    - Two Ignition Keys.
    - Owners Manual.
Good luck with the purchase. There's no issue with all general servicing bits and pieces be they OEM or non OEM.

So did you buy it? In my VFR motorcycle search of many months I found that whatever is bolted to the bike or under the seat at the time, is all you get.
People loose tool kits, seat spacers, owners manuals and seats or cowls. My bike with only 2600 miles on it was on it's third owner already and missing several items the bike came with when new. Bikes with low miles are usually not owned by "motorcyclists" and bought on a whim. Plenty of parts are available for the 8th gen, unlike previous models.

Not finalized yet, but my friend is going to sell it to me and he's giving me frankly an insane deal on it - $3,000. He says he's got the cowl.

When you consider that unlike in the US, the VFR 8th gen wasn't discontinued until 2020. That means parts should not be an issue.
