Bike for Sale 1998 VFR800 for sale (SOLD!)

For sale is my clean title 5th gen with 62,000 miles located in the Portland OR metro area. I'm asking $3000, lowered the price after doing some more research. Its not a show bike, but its mechanically sound. The bike has convertibars on it right now, though I have a set of stock ones I could swap on. It has a zero gravity sport touring screen and a corbin seat. Tires have plenty of life left in them, though aren't new. Tags are good until 6/23. The bike has been solid the last 3 years after I did the initial refresh, and the only time it broke down was when the old off brand battery finally died last year.

Here's some important maintenance items I've done to it the last couple years:
- Yuasa battery - 1 year ago
- New Barnett clutch plates and springs - 1 year ago
- Chain and sprockets - 1 year ago
- Steering head bearings - 2 years ago
- refresh fork internals (bushings, oil, etc.) - 2 years ago
- Full cooling system rebuild including new silicone hoses and thermostat - 3 years ago
- Fuel injectors removed and cleaned - 3 years ago
- All vacuum hoses replaced - 3 years ago

I also have a few accessories for sale (I will post pictures of them this weekend):
- (SOLD!) Givi wingrack with two side cases and top box (one key for side cases, one key for top box)
- (SOLD!) Staintune low mount with a ding in it (has "spud" insert to lessen sound volume)
- Solo seat cowl in very good condition. The few imperfections look like scuffs about the size of a grain of rice. They're so small they are difficult to photograph with a phone. You have to be within arms reach to notice them.

What are you asking for the seat cowl?

 

The Staintune is just the slip-on and has the baffle installed. How about $200 plus actual shipping. It was about $60 to ship it across the country in early 2020.

I'll do $60 plus actual shipping for the seat cowl. I couldn't find many others with sale prices, but I think that's low enough to move it quickly.

 

Any chance for pics or a description of the seriousness of the ding? Those pipes are hard to dent!

 

I've already posted a picture with the pipe in it. I feel like its a decent representation of how the pipe looks, though I can post more pictures later if you want. Descriptively, its definitely noticeable, but mostly because it breaks up the uniform reflections and not because of any discoloration or scratches. I'm not sure how it got dented since I bought it like that.

 

Staintune slip-on is sold! I'm going to close up this ad since I'm going on a trip soon. I'll make a new one with some more parts when I get back. Thanks everyone.
