The red and green wires that normally go into the harness, get routed to the battery leads with a 30A fuse on the positive wire.

It's what the more expensive kits provide. Obviously with the correct gauge wire.

I've used them for years and they last nearly forever on my CB-1. I carry a spare. Super cheap and they don't fail before my crappy Honda ones.

Side note, I eliminated all the connectors and used butt connectors, crimpted, soldered (lead based) and shrink tubing (clear-aviation shit.) So, the three yellows off the stator were soldered like above, then all the connectors associated with the R/R were too, I have two connections to the battery. I dealt with Roadster and have his units on both of my bikes, no issues for years and years. I gave up on chinesium batteries and will only use Yuasa were I can actually talk to a real person and have good customer service.
