    Evening all,

Hope everyone is well - need some help (again). Currently doing a deep clean of the bike and preparing to put a new chain and sprockets kit on, chain guard etc. is filthy so its going to be a messy job.

The bike has had a scotoiller fitted (I have had it two years but never used it) and I am going to remove it. It is not like one I have seen before; have done some research and it appears to be a V system. I have traced the tube from the top of the oiler, and it runs under the fuel tank, aongside the throttle cable pulley and into a breather hose that looks to be coming straight from the engine.

Am I ok to just remove the connector (leave the breather hose in place) or do I need to consider anything when taking it out? I have put some photos below to try and show what i mean.

The question is, is it a vacuum line...... unhook and see if there is vacuum at engine idle, if so, you'll have to plug the line or go upstream and remove it further up..... betting it's a vacuum line.......

I belive you are correct sir - on closer inspection i belive it might be going direct to the airbox (one of the vacuum lines for the throttle body adjustments). I am assuming I can just pull the connector (in the image above) and cap the line?

Yes, simple as that. If this is a Gen5, vac line gets stored on underside of airbox lid, two plastic "plug" projections on each side (4 vac lines). Perhaps the installer put a coupler in the line to hook up the Scott. Remove it and plug the hose back on the original "plug" projection?
