I was cruising around at lunch at watched 2 videos presented by Iconicmotorbikes. RC45 and NC35.

Both engines sounded really ratty compared to my 88/89 750.
Are these just clapped out or do they have such different components internally that they sound so meh? Not trying to speak bad about their bikes, just knowledge for myself when I am back out in the market for my 98/99 and listening to engines.

It's hard to say from videos. I have vids of an NC35 and it sounds nothing like that. Has a lot to do with mic, where the vids recorded, and the exhaust.

All I hear is a Honda 360 degree crankshaft making its normal sound. And yeah, it does sound different from a Honda 180 degree crankshaft.

    Which do you like better:
Uneven rumble 1--3---2--4-1--3---2--4-1--3---2--4-1... of the VFR750 and VFR800?
Paired pulses 1-4---3-2---1-4---3-2---1-4---3-2---1... of the NC-35 and RC-45?

Here is a short sound vid of my NC-35 428, just for the sake of comparison.

Hmm, I guess I have not been exposed to enough 360 cranks. I appreciate the info for sure! Sounds like a beaut Clark (NorCal). :) Thanks for the vid!
