Well, I just ordered this kit and going to give it a shot. I've read that there's a member on here that has done it and I was wondering if he would chime in if he has the chance, and the inclination. :)

Looks pretty straight forward, the only issue I can see is the electric connections, if they're long enough.

Cheaper than trading bikes, and losing all the VFR has to offer. I've owned this thing since 2000 and really don't want to let it go.

Man, you're a lifesaver. I just ordered it so it will be a bit before I get it. I'll check out that thread. Thank you.

If Webike actually had one in stock and you had it shipped by DHL, you may have it by the end of the week.

A few additional tips I don't think are in that thread. The brake master cylinder hose stay tab. If you're coming off a Helibar install it's probably already been cutoff. The last install I did of the police kit was from stock clipons. I didn't see anyway around that tab with the two hoses and double banjo so it got cut off, just like a Helibar install.

My preferred method for the windshield trim now is to use a rotary tool (Dremel) fit with a small cutting disc. Much easier to control than a powered jigsaw. I'll put painter's tape down on the windshield where I figure to make the cuts and use the outboard edge of the tape as the guide line to cut the corners off.

Thanks for the heads-up. I do have the Helibars, so yeah, the tab is gone. Also I'm fond of the wind on my chest, so I have way cut down screen on there
now that barely clears the painted part of the fairing. I have the stock screen, felt that it was too tall for my taste. That may change with the more upright
    riding position though.

Oh, then you may not have much to do if anything to that windshield. The police handlebar puts the fluid reservoirs just above the painted faring corners at full lock. You can see this in the YouTube video I posted later in that thread. Another little tip: the new throttle cables. Go ahead and lube them with your favorite cable lube before you stick them on the bike. I have a Motion Pro 08-0609, but any of the clamp on style cable lubers should work. The two little JIS fasteners that hold the cable end bracket to the throttle body. Stuff a rag below that area just in case you drop one it won't disappear into the V of the engine. I use a little offset ratcheting 1/4" bit screwdriver fit with a Motion Pro JIS #2 bit to pull those screws.
