I've transferred my vfr, and myself, to the Nertherlands. I'm going to ride it until it starts to snow.

Nice bike, and nice roads for riding I guess. Last night and this morning I got a teaser preview of sorts. Visited the Eifel nationalpark near Aachen, Germany. They have some nice altitude changes and twisties. Although my route was just a passthrough.

I got going way too late, so half of the ride was in the night, almost ran into a deer and few of the corners were way tighter that what I thought. And I ended up sleeping on a bench for a couple of hours. It was almost too cold, car roofs and windows were frozen in the morning... but still got a few hours of sleep.

It was way nicer ridind during the day, so it was a good call. A hotel would've been better, but 150€ for a short nap and a breakfast?

777km with a few restaurant stops and a nap. 20hrs. 300-400km/day with the viffer seems to be realistic and sustained for quite a while.

Ahem, not lake Geneva, but still... Smoke on the water? [IMG]

We're just heading for better riding weather here, but I have been riding solidly all "winter" as there have been a decent run of dry-ish days to keep me happy. I've been using my MT-10 and ST1300 while the VFR sleeps in the Mancave. Our bike registration costs are pretty steep (about USD330 per annum) so I put the VFR on hold to save some money.

We have had a few -5C mornings here for the ride into work already here in Ontario Canada. Winter isn't too far away.
