Completely understand the fact it's not of utmost importance, especially on a VFR1K that is quite portly to begin with. Just interesting to know if say the VTR wheel vs. 'x' year VFR wheel vs. F2/F3 wheel or CBR1000 wheel were all equally easy to install but if one of them was 2Lb. lighter, it might be the "best" choice for those that worried about such things.

Too bad Kosman got out of the wheel widening game, be nice to have original wheels that could accept newer radial tyres.....

Just finished prepping a VTR1000F front wheel with floating discs for a new front tire to match the rear wheel. I will weigh them during the swap. I suspect it will be considerably lighter.

Sandy passed away recently, unfortunately. Not sure what the situation is with the business, but his daughter is still in the mix. A gal I know from ADV Rider apparently knows more about this situation than I do.

I RAILED that thing on Saturday. The suspension, wheels and radials just make the bike work. About 160 miles of FLOGGING all back road twisties. I can make that pig boogie.

Why does the R/W/B just look so nice on Hondas? It really isn't fair. My wife is all "rbw..it ok". I'm like, "but sweetie, it is so racy". Big foot is there waiting for Capt to walk further away. :)

That's one of our break stops. Just outside of Carnation WA, down the road from Carnation Farms. Chinook Bend Bridge on the Snoqualmie River. The bank used to be more accessible before a few floods. I've stopped and swam on some HOT summer days before.

My "Fall Ride" photo contest entry over at HawkGTForum. Tolt Hill Rd looking SE. It was simply a stunning day yesterday. About 250 miles perfecting my Valley Loop ride.

Finally wrapped up the front wheel project, VTR1000F Front to match the Rear, replacing the CBR1000F front wheel. New tire mounted and balanced. Found some nice used EBC Pro-Lite rotors to finish the look.

Oh yeah, since I had the front end in the air, I swapped in some adjustable pre-load caps I had from another project.

They look great. I did similar to my CB-1s.

Shouldn't you do a YouTube of all of your bikes including their histories, problems found, work done, and what you love about each? :)
