How would I Know if mines a us one? I'm parting my bike out.

 

my usa model has the vin on the left side of the lower frame rail. The uk bike has the vin tag on the right by the steering head. I dought its a uk model. See the above post for some of the other differences.

 

It may say 1992 on the paperwork but that paint scheme was only used on 1990 model in the Europe

1991 had gold graphics with Honda on tank outlined rather than solid.

1992 paint scheme completely different. Lower fairing was in contrasting colour and VFR logo was directly above it and to rear of middle fairing.

 

To check headlight centre stand inside a garage facing a wall and select dip beam.

US bike beam pattern will be higher on right side, UK or Ireland bike will be higher on left side

Confirms it is not a US model

 

so its actually a 1990 model. would you know if the odometer is in miles or kilometers?

 

A UK bike would be in Miles.
