Hi all, If there's already an answer to this maybe someone can direct me to it as searching is kind of hit or miss. I have a 5th gen VFR, I've ordered two kinds of 'so-called' H4/9003/HB2 LED bulbs but the configuration of the retention tabs is different. As you can see in my attached image, the stock bulbs are more evenly spaced around the edge than the LED bulbs, the bottom two tabs are closer together.. maybe just some minor surgery on the housing unit is needed? I'd like to find a direct 1:1 replacement before doing this but it may be necessary. I had this old thread going, great info there but not much luck finding a 1:1 replacement with the same tab configuration.. https://vfrworld.com/threads/led-headlight-bulbs-for-5th-gen-vfr.60214/#post-634990 Thank you.
So I answered my own question and got it done by trimming the corners of the tabs on the bulb that wouldn't cooperate. I trimmed the rubber gaskets to help the fans fit through, not a bad installation at all.
