Peter Egan did a nice editorial on his VFR purchase, "Late Interception". He's pimpin' the 5th gen.

David Edwards did a great job of asking Honda where's the beef in thier current line up.

had not seen many pic's of the CB1100R, but those curves look sweet! esp. compared to the angles on the new naked lookin' stuff.

Great article by Peter Egan for all VFR fans. He says if he had to chose only one bike to own, it would be the VFR. He also mentions his other bikes make him appreciate how great the VFR really is! Can't agree more.

Reg, how could you misplace a motorcycle magazine?! The rest of the mail I could understand..... I got mine a couple of days ago. Its hard to believe its already the December issue!! Where did that year go? Peter Egan has some good articles. its funny how as much as we look at all the things are bikes aren't or that could be improved..... Theres really not much out there as good at everything as a VFR.

I don't receive CW in the mail, if I find one that looks interesting enough at the news stand I'll buy one, whats funny is some friends I ride with have come up to me in that last couple of days telling me, have your read the article in CW? Wow, Egan thinks the VFR is a great machine, I just sit back and smile.

I saw that editorial too, I was happy Egan pointed out how many Top Tens tehe VFR had won and how "if you could only have one bike, the VFR was it." Makes me feel better about my choice in rides. Not sure how "soulless" it is though, I think the v four gives it more soul than a transverse four that is so common.

I didn't find it online, but looked.

is the Edwards article from the same issue.

If I had an Egan dictionary, it might read
Soulfullness ~ unreliable but worth the problems due to some quirk that is more enduring to the owner than the unreliability... for a time (think Ducati, or Ural)

I found it. It was wrapped in one of those cardboard like covers trying to get me to buy a gift subscription or some such. I prob just thought i was a catalog or something. It'll soon make it;s way to the throneroom to do it's time in the house of fumes. I did go ahead and peruse the article by mr egan, tough. nice to see he is coming to his senses albeit slowly. ;)
