    Hi,

I've got a Gen 5 bike (MY 2000) with 22k miles on the clock, and am experiencing an issue. I set the bike's idle in the garage (after letting it reach temperature), to ~1300 RPM (california model). I then go for a ride, and if I come to a stop at a light, the bike will not idle at 1300 RPM; it is usually around 1500 RPM. If I stay at the light for a bit though, the idle will slowly work its way down back towards 1300.

Any ideas on what this could be?

use the provided idle speed adjuster to reset as needed. a hot engine will usually want to idle faster due to less oil viscosity and lower pumping losses.

could be related to other issues like air leaks.

Thanks for the response. Will try and see if it is indeed correlated to temperature. I can always re-set idle at a higher temp, will give that a go.
