    Hallo everyone,

Having owned three VFRs I thought it was the right time to finally join the forums!

First was a candy red 2007 with triple luggage and twin oval carbon Delkevics, made the bike really scream.

Second was an epic sounding 1999 5th gen in yellow, with a titanium race can, Ohlins and other nice things.

As of last week, I now have a 2015 in red (soon to be repainted GREEN - I'll make a thread about this!) with triple luggage and a scorpion exhaust, in amazing condition - 6 service stamps and only 6500 miles. I'll be keeping this one forever.

    Happy riding!
    Tom

Hi Tom and Welcome to the Madhouse:Welcome:.

Nice to see another extremely well maintained 8th Gen. With regular servicing VFRs are great mile munching machines and the factory luggage makes them a great choice for touring.

Whilst the mileage is low for a 7 year old motorbike the bike may have been parked up for quite a while thanks to Covid restrictions.

Hopefully the previous owner was able to give you some insight into the bike's history especially if it has at least one set of new tyres fitted since it left the factory. Whilst chatting to the service manager at my local dealers, he mentioned that they had noticed an increase in riders needing help to sort a handling issue which despite the tyres still having ample tread they had developed flat-spots on one side of the tyres after they were left parked up on the side stand for over a year with no preparation thanks to covid.

I will be interested to see it after the repaint :Pop2:.

I am guessing that picture was taken at the dealers - although you won't be the first to decide their VFR deserves a place in the living room.

    Have fun - ATGATT

    Hi Tom,

Nice to see the Honda car bike combo there. I should sell on my ep3 but with all the work done to make it the same as the import plus a complete suspension overhaul I just can't bring myself to do it. I barely drive it these days but after 10 fantastic years together I wouldn't let it go to anyone but an enthusiast. Looking forward to seeing the colour match-up.

    All the best,
    Dan

    Good afternoon!
I have just recently purchased a 2012 VFR 1200, in Black 9500 miles. I'm just getting acquainted with it after having a Gen one Fazer( FZ1) for years.
Currently, thinking of an ECU upgrade at P3 racing Liverpool.

I need to replace the feeble 'beep' of a horn. Any ideas of a very loud one that could possibly fit behind the fairing?

Hallo thumbs, no, it was at a dealership near the lake district. I followed my other half in our van so I got a holiday in the lakes AND the vfr all in one week, happy days. :)

Folks, as promised. Here's the finished paintwork - g161p conifer pearl green!

I only went and dropped a small bicycle spanner on the fuel tank and chipped a 1mm area, revealing the red beneath. Now I can't unsee it! SC project and touring screen went on just after I got the bike back from the paint shop.

    Cost £850 and was done by a well regarded independent guy, a 1 man operation. I sold the luggage to pay for the paint as right now I've given up my job and retired aged 32. (at least until my savings run out)... anyway... here's the colour before;

    And after...
