86 VFR 700 blue color

I know, I know...the blue is candy aluetian blue on the tank . My question is...is that the same blue as on the decals or are they different blues? Reason I ask is I can have a paint guy get close if it is using the camera on the decals and it is way cheaper. Thx for the info?

 

My general recollection is that the blue is the same, with the metallic effect. I forgot to look before heading to work. I know for a fact that some repro "VFR" decals I bought are the same color, but I wasn't laser focused on accuracy because they are not being used for a "Restoration".

 

Thanks for the reply. Anyone else? I too am not going to do a concourse restoration but I do want it to look sweet...and it will. Sometimes it's just not cost effective to go all out! Besides, it was a $500 bike and it'll be just fine. It's gonna gobble up Benjamins on tires, brakes, and random parts made of unobtanium. Thanks again!
