    Hey, All,
I have been riding strictly VFRs for almost 40 yrs. I had a 1983 that I loved during college. It was stolen in my senior year. Time warp ahead a few years and I bought a left over inventory 1992 in 1993. I rode that one almost full time and piled on 225,000 miles on her. That bike just rocked. I finally sold to my riding buddy's son and he is still riding it at 300,00o miles.
I bought a 1999 VFR800Fi a few years ago. I have been riding that one until recently, I need to get the forks re-sealed. I really do think this 5th gen is the pinnacle of the VFR. So, I am back here in the VFR forum and looking forward to interacting with you all.

Dale, a very overdue "Welcome" to you. Too bad you didn't join our membership many years ago.

I expect that you will fit in this group of shade-tree mechanics and those who like to look over the previously mentioned mechanics' shoulders.

You wouldn't have a photo or two of your 5th gen that you could grace us with, would you?

    Welcome to the MadHouse Dale

5th Gens are very popular. Sadly, as the years pass, keeping them roadworthy is becoming a major challenge and this has forced some to resort to obtain a second "parts" bike to keep their favourite on the road.

Good luck - post up a photo or two - it is easy click the "upload a file" link and follow the prompts to select and upload photos from your computer.

    Take care ATGATT

Welcome Dale; you surely got your money's worth out of that 1992 VFR! I'm also a serial V4 owner since my very first VF500F in 1984. I agree that the 5th gen is the mechanical pinnacle however.

That is some kind of mileage. I have always been impressed with my 06 that is just over 226.000 on the odo. But that is KM not miles. Welcome aboard.
