    Welcome to the forum twister,

Its tough to say if the bike will change next year..... too many things change over the year to know if Honda will do anything. Over the last year there was much speculation about a big change and as you can see we got a new color and that dissappointed some. Honda doesn't really need to change the VFR because theres really no other bike out there to compare it to right now. BMW released the f800s and the Interceptor was given the nod over it in comparisons and it seems to sell about the same as a VFR does here in the States. You really can't go wrong with this bike, you may save some money on a 2007 model if its available but for what it is and why people buy it I wouldn't be too worried about what you are getting. Even if they do give it an overhaul next year your 2008 will still be the last of the 6th Gen bikes and a very refined and highly developed bike with no teething problems to tweak and adjust while they try to get it right.

save yourself some $$$ and buy a used Vtec 2002-2008 as its unchanged from 2002( bold new graphics/paint colors) .. Or you can buy a 1998-2001 model VFR as its also fuel injected and has the gear driven cams as to where the 2002-2008 models have chain driven cams..

Do some research on all the model years and find out the good/bad/ugly of each model and try to find a dealer to let you test ride one.

    buy whichever you can afford.
with 10,300 miles in my first year with the Viffer, you cannot possibly have chosen a better all around bike.
It's really an Acura level vehicle.

My local dealer has 2007 models on the floor with or without ABS. I think the price was $1250 under MSRP.

I got ABS, and I highly recommend it. it's a real advantage on the street.

    Welcome

and yes the 2008 model is identical to the 2006-2007. The bike is basically the same from 2002-08. The bike recieved minor improvements in 06.

I found an 04 new in the crate and have racked up 30,000 miles with no problems.
