    Hey Everyone!

I am struggling with the measurement of primary and secondary coil resistance.

    I have measured:
two spade tabs that B/W and Y wires attach to. starts at about 5ohms and slowly drops to about 2.9 and 3 Ohms.

For the secondary, I believe this is measured across the mounting tab and the plug connectors? I get nothing on the mount/plug connection and also between either spade tab and plug connector.

    Am I missing something?

The Honda manual may be deceiving me? I measured across both secondary connections (plug wire connections) and get 14.8K Ohms. The manual shows the measurement from the frame mount to secondary.

Plug cap to plug cap is the usual test for bikes with a 360 degree crank like your VF500F, so I'd have said that sounds about right. This is from the ST1100 manual but I'd expect the 500 would be similar.
