98 VFR bought two months ago and have about 2500 miles added to it. This new to me bike is my second and honestly it's been hard getting off the darn thing. Hearing the cams wind up to high rpms is my drug now.

Bought at 29.5k miles. Looks like there are race tech valves and a showa rear shock (with a sticky preload adjuster). I did a full fluid change, steering head bearing change, and will swap the tires (I know it's overdo I'm cheap and lazy) and brakes.

    Welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:

Good to see you snagged a red one - which as everyone knows are always the fastest :potstirrer1:

So whereabouts are you based? You may want to update your forum Profile to include an approximate location city/state is ample - that way it will appear with all your posts and if you ever need help with the bike you may find someone living nearby may be willing to drop by and offer advice or possibly pick up a spanner especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge:drink:

In the meantime tell us what city is in background?

    Take Care

I'm in the bay area of California. The city in the back is San Francisco with the Golden Gate bridge somewhat in view too. The views are riding hazards I swear. The bike is pretty good to me so far. A bit of fairing damage and some scuffs on the crankcase (low sided on the right) but mechanically pretty sound. I really wish I had a personal garage space cause I got inspired by Gregin's post from a few years ago for restoring the whole thing.
