I'm stuck in a situation where the bike thinks I'm always pressing my brakes and they stay illuminated. Any suggestions where to start ?

First place I'd start would be the handlebar switch, especially if you have some of the shorty levers, after
that I'd move to the foot switch. After that, uh I'll have to get back to you. :)

My guess would be either a stuck microswitch at the hand lever or the switch on the rear lever; more likely the latter as it lives in a tougher environment. If you remove the connector off the bar switch and the problem goes away then the bar switch is at fault, if the problem remains then the foot brake is more likely.

So thank you for helping. I discovered that the previous owner put on aftermarket brake and clutch levers. I had to jerry-rig the brake lever to match up allowing it to push and retract the brake switch button. It's Now working thanks everybody!!

In doing all this, I went down the "rabbit hole" and decided to clean everything below the air intake box. There's a vacuum line I can determine what it plugs into. I'll post pics looking for help tomorrow on a new thread. Ha
