So I changed sprockets and chain and now I am trying to put the front sprocket cover on, that has the slave cylinder attached to it. I am having an issue getting the clutch rod all the way in. It comes about 1/4-1/2” short and therefore can’t get the cover flush. It feels like it is hitting a wall on the other side. Any ideas? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had the same problem... pull the rod out, make sure it's clean and put a bit of grease on the end... in she goes. My guess is it gets hung up on the internal end going into the thing called the clutch joint piece. Worked for me. Good luck.

Make sure the clutch slave cylinder hasn't moved out a bit and is keeping the clutch cover from being flush.
I call "ditto" on the slave cylinder having pushed its way out. Gravity alone will push the slave cylinder if you don't clamp or hold it in a compressed position. If that is the case, simply push the brake fluid back into the master by compressing the slave, then install.
You also need to make sure the plastic coupler for the speedo drive is mating nicely with the sprocket bolt before you tighten things down.
All fixed! I had to press the slave cylinder piston in and that fixed it. I got the cover on and then put the slave cylinder back on. Thanks for all the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
