???Greetings, having fitted the excellent HPS crash protectors on my '99 VFR 800, I'm now in search of an alternate (thinner/ smaller) overflow tank that will fit snug against the bike and not kick the side panel (valence?) out 3/4 to1 inches. Any suggestions? Cheers!

Someone, somewhere on the 'net modified their coolant overflow tank for use with the frame sliders. They used a holesaw and cut away the tank where needed for the frameslider to pass thru the tank, then used some compatible plastic material to make a circular patch, then plastic-welded the whole works together.

Dang if I can find the article now, I just searched for it. Sorry.

Anyway, not sure how that fix worked out for the dude over the long haul. Maybe if you could get a used coolant tank and experiment with it??

:) That looks like the ticket. I do like the looks of the moko sliders too. Thanks for the tip.
    Cheers!

    Steve:

I installed the Moko frame sliders about a month ago. I bored out my radiator overflow tank to accomodate the slider like on the website mentioned before. It worked out pretty well. I like it because the slider mounts thru the frame into the engine block...Very stout. The only disadvantage, is that you need to remove the slider everytime you want to remove the side fairing, and of course, you need to drill a 2-1/8" hole in your fairing (very nerv racking).

    Cheers
