Anyone having or have had problems with Garmin Express recently? I just sat down to update the life time maps on three of my four Garmin GPS devices. My Garmin Express icon on my desktop will not open. So I tried to re-install it. Pretty much the same thing happens.

Anyone having similar issues. I have reported this as per their request (Garmin's request) and am awaiting a response or the ability to update my devices.

    What say you?

Just checked Garmin Express and it launched just fine. Then updated to V 7.5.0.0, after it restarted and shows
all my devices, and updates available. So it seems to be good.

This is on a Windows machine running Windows 7 and Firefox V 88.0.1. Hope this helps.

Tried again tonight. No luck what so ever.

So. I wiped Garmin 7.5.0.0 from my computer and downloaded the latest, 7.6.0.0. I am presently updating the first of three GPSs. I don't know what happened but something in the updates of Garmin Express did not like something in my computer.

All is now good. I am no longer as lost as I was before I found my way. Don't ever turn out my lights again!

Glad to hear you got it all working as it should. Mine updated to 7.6.0.0 yesterday.

There had to have been an issue with their 7.5.0.0. I had updated all my devices at the beginning of the year on a version prior to 7.5 and suddenly there was an issue for me. Oh well. It is al good now.

My gps in the truck is out of date by a couple years now. I hate to see what that is going to cost to update when I finally decide to do so. I only got free updates for a year after sale with OnStar. The kind of money we spend on vehicles, you would think something as simple as map updates would be free for as long as you own the vehicle. Most Garmin GPS devices have free lifetime updates. Or if they don't come with it, you can buy lifetime updates for around $100.00. PERIOD. not over $100 each time you update.

Just try and find a decent map at a gas bar now when you are out travelling around. I went through that on one of my trips down to Atascadero one year. I was just touring around for a few weeks before the BBQ there and wanted a map just to see where I was going. None to be found anywhere I went.
