    Hey all!

Greetings from South Carolina! I don't have much to say, really. I grew up with a VFR in the family(dads '98) and I finally got one for myself! I'm the proud owner of an 8th gen in red. I bought it about a year ago and I have since added about 6k miles. The wife prefers it (comfort wise) over my previous 2018 Ducati Supersport. While the Duc may have had more performance inspired riding capabilities, the VFR is a perfect combo of sport and comfort! I'm enjoying it very much! I quickly realized this is a bike I will most likely keep until the heart just stops ticking... Then I'll put it a new heart and keep riding!

I look forward to meeting some of you from the VFR community!

Hi and Welcome to the MadHouse:Welcome:

Congratulations on choosing a RED VFR which are always the fastest :potstirrer1:.

It is great to hear you are both enjoying your 8th Gen. If it is the DLX version then they are very well equipped out the box - and indeed was the only version of the 8th Gen sold outside of North America? The standard bike is however a bit lighter and has the same power plant so it should be a tad faster but obviously misses out on some extras which you may want to add. Indeed dealers are already finding they cannot obtain some of the missing extras from Honda.

Either way, Honda finally got around to installing a decent charging system on the 8th Gen, so hopefully you will indeed enjoy riding your VFR for many many KM - my 6th Gen is well past 200,000 and going as strong as the day it left the factory.

As you may have realised the folks on here like photos and will keep raggin on you until a photo or two appears to demonstrate your VFR is real. So round up some digital photos find the best and then click "upload a file" link (bottom right) and follow the prompts to select and upload a photo from your computer.

Meantime - Have fun and remember ATGATT

Welcome to The World Alchemist87! By coincidence, I also have a Ducati Supersport but my dates back to 1995! I love it as much as the VFRs I own but do prefer the 01 VFR for fun and frolicking. That being said, I will be keeping the Duc, as for how old it is, it's still a Very Fun Ride as well!

Hey guys! Sorry for just getting the photo added! This is both mine (the '14) and my fathers ('98) VFR. Both are bare bone stock with the exception of my dads windscreen.
