Hi Everyone. Just picked up a 8th gen Deluxe last week so I figured I might as well join the forum.

2015 VFR800 Deluxe with 1200 miles on it. Bike is very clean. Not the fastest I've owned, but it already feels like a very special bike. The power delivery from the V4 feels spot on and I really do love the Vtec hit. It is currently stock apart from the Delkavic exhaust and Puig Sport screen. Both of which will be replaced. Going with a Coffman and the Puig Touring windscreen.

Also have a Grom, Monkey, Shadow Chopper, and Enfield Interceptor 650 keeping it company in the garage.

    image.jpeg Welcome RB.
Hope you enjoy the 8gen and glad you got the Deluxe version, well worth the extra cost given all the extra bits that come with the Deluxe. They seem to be an extremely reliable bike, mine has done 84,000kms without issue. All the previous generation electrical issues have been resolved with the 8gen. Also the improved fuel economy gives you greater tank range. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Safe Riding.
    Cheers.

I did cheat a bit on price since I work for the dealer, but I agree. We actually have a guy that bought a non deluxe getting the deluxe parts added on right now and it doesn't seem worth the hassle or price of labor. I'm riding it every chance I get though. Feel bad for the other bikes as they are going to get lonely with the VFR being my new go to bike. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcome to the world. And nice ride! I am so envious of you.

I so much wanted an 8th gen. They are just so sweet looking. But the ergonomics just don't work for me and my riding. I found one, with everything I wanted used. Low mileage considering it is a Honda. Deluxe, white and factory bags. No visible damage scrapes or cuts. Test rode it for about an hour and it just did not work. I was hurting pretty good already. So, while I was at that dealership, I just took my 6th gen in and spend some money and brought it back to great operational shape.

But I still love the looks of the 8th gen. Gets my mojo going every time I see one, especially if it is white. Which as I know you understand and concede, is still the fastest colour.

Randy, I couldn't stand the ergonomics of my 2014 either. Foot pegs too high, hurt my knees, didn't like leaning over so much. A new set of pegs from Knight Designs dropped them an inch and a set of 1 1/4" riser blocks from MotoPumps made a world of difference. So if you see a good deal on an 8th gen, you can make it comfortable. I like the white too, but could pass up the deal on the red one.

Good to know. That is exactly where I found the issue. Not only was it hard on my knee, it was hell on my lower back where the 6th gen is not nearly as bad. I know my 6th is running very well, but I think at 223K km, I am on borrowed time before it starts to be cost in-effective to maintain. I don't think I will get much for it when I either sell it or trade it in.
