In keeping with the rash of "bikes following me home" I just joined the club!

Special call shout out out to @Squirrelman for finding this awesome bike 2.5 hours from me in Austin TX.

Always wanted an NT650 Hawk, now I got one!

Thanks! Seems like a lot of people on VFRworld own one or have owned one. Must be a good bike!

after your heroic efforts on your 500, i expect the same quality of work on this and a bit better results.

good luck with it, jim !

Hawks are amazing bikes although not for those addicted to mega-power, alot more handling than speed and almost perfect size for riders of smaller stature.

I assure you this one will go MUCH better. I had no idea that 500 was going to be such a PIA.

It will have plenty of HP for me, I am easy to please these days. Like if it actually starts and runs I will be absolutely ecstatic!

Nice score! Is that a Muzzy pipe on there? Dorm-mate had an '88 when I was in college, we put the SuperTrapp and intake kit on it plus he had the little bikini color matched fairing on it too. Mostly remember the really low redline on it, seemed like the bike just started to really pull and wham! Rev limiter kicked in. Just way different after so many years on V-4 and I-4 sport bikes.

We volunteered as corner workers for a lot of WERA weekends around Indiana and Michigan back then, free entry & free swag and got to ride the tracks a bit for free, great deal for broke college students!

    Yes sir, Muzzy pipe!

I did the same in college, I was a flag marshal at Texas World Speedway in College Station TX for the CRRC races in the '80's. Got free track days because of it.

I had a lot larger balls back then, managed to see 150+ MPH a few times on the back bowl.
