Funny how over the years "we" the motorcycle community ask for certain bikes, I.E. the CB-1 or NT/Hawk GT or GB500, finally get them, no one buys them, and all these years later, "we" still lust for them and hope to own one!

Remember first ride on a CB-1 and thinking, "slightly nicer than a Helix 250 scooter".... now all these years later, would love to bomb around on one! Kerker 4-1 White Tip sure sounded mean last time I heard one.

Kudos for keeping the vintage stuff alive.

No shit. ALWAYS loved that combo. I remember having chances to buy pretty decent CBXs in the early 90s for very reasonable money. That was before I had any shop space or a lot of "extra" money.

Can I ask what you picked that 1100 up for
Had a friend in the 90’s with one collecting dust, it was a pay off for $ owed.
Knew I should of grabbed it.
    Never ever see um

Yep, I remember getting in back stock '82 CBX's at the Honda dealer I worked at. We got them in 1986 still in the crate, and sold them for $2500.00 retail. The town I lived in was full of them for a while! I think we sold 10+ of them. I am pretty sure the invoice on them was around $1800 or so. Crazy times. I had an '81 CBX at the time or I would have bought one of the new '82's we got in. We also sold a shit ton of '82 CB750SC Nighthawks for dirt cheap money in 1986. Honda America had tons of obsolete bikes in the warehouse we could pick and choose from. Not sure why the had so many unsold bikes back then.

There were at least 2 guys in my general area that had multiple CBXs in their possession, one of them had the fully faired version too. It's been at least 20 years since I have personally seen either of them, but did hear not that long ago, the full faired unit was still in the garage. Gotta love that 6-cyl howl!

I find it rather humorous that Honda, over the years, got the reputation for being conservative with their product lines. But when you look at their offerings over the decades, particularly the '80s with bikes like the CBX, CX Turbo, Reflex, Fat Cat, Hawk GT, HondaMatic, and later bikes like the Rune & Fury, they've produced as many truly unique bikes as any of the big 4.

    Nice find.

My truck has been good at coming home with gravel lately. Not a Want.

This is the good ol' girl with a yard and a half of 5/8 minus. She laughed.

Speakin' about My Truck (2018 Nissan Titan), it goes in for diagnostic on Wednesday, likely a new Engine needed (40,000km on this one -- its finished).

Very common problem on 17/18 titans - piston slap in #7 cyl -- bad oil spray nozzles. they replacing them in massive quantities - there is a TSB out from Nissan. Dealer already set my expectations.

Mine now sounds like a diesel (its not) its rappin' so bad.

I expect a new short block will be ordered for it.

here she is in all her knocking glory....

Despite what I thought with the A/C clutch kicking in and out, it does it all the time, but worse under load. Real bad when you put it in drive or reverse.

dunno yet. They said I should just drive it so I suspect ill drive it for 4-6 weeks or as long as it takes to get the new short block in.

Then ill see what they give me as a loaner.

Unfortunately Nissan Canada isnt stocking dealers with the titan anymore, they only come in on special pre-order. So suspect ill be driving a Rogue for the 2 or 3 days it will take them to fix mine.

I dont really care what they give me to be honest, as long as they fix mine properly. Id rather have a long block replacement to tell you the truth (like the Titan guys in the USA get) but Nissan Canada is cheaping out and only doing short blocks, unless the damage is catastrophic.

Dealer to do a Bore Scope next Wednesday the 20th, and all recorded on video for Nissan Canada to OK the replacement. then wait till end of May for the short block (is my best guess), hopefully have it fixed by early June ??

I love the Truck, its so disappointing to have this happen. I just hope 1) they fix it right 2) the replacement engines have the issue resolved.

I bought this just before I retired as my "keeper" for a long time.....best laid plans eh!
