Just saying hi. Been riding for many many years. After loving gear-driven-cam Hondas ever since owning an '86 VFR750 back in about 1992, I finally just bought a mint 2001 VFR800 from a friend. I'll be having a read around the forum here to glean some info. Looking for some accessories also, so I'll check out the classifieds.

    Thanks for the welcome!
My first VFR was a 1986 750 back in thr UK. I'll need to dig out some old photos of that and post them here. it was my first "big" bike and got me hooked on that gorgeous gear-driven whine.
The current one I boight from a friend of mine. Its stock for the most part (I'm very much a "stock" kind of guy when it comes to bikes), but it does have 3 different windshields that came with it and some GIVI side cases. I picked up a top box from a member here so i will have that soon also. It also came with a very nice Ohlns rear shock that I need to fit. I'll need to remove the exhaust system from the downpipes to firt the shock so I have all new exhaust gaskets ready for that job. I have a couple of other bikes. I do trackdays and I have a very nice Ducati 749R and I'm in the middle of purchasing an Aprilia RS250. I used to have a Honda RS125 and I still have the 2 stroke itch, but as I get older, I don't have the flexibility for the 125 so the RS250 will work well to scratch the itch.

Pics of the new VFR. Shes a 2001 with just 12K miles, so barely broken in. VFR front.jpg VFR left.jpg VFR right.jpg
