So, I seem to take lots of pictures when I take things apart, but never the one I need.

On the right front side of the air box base underneath there is a pair valve solenoid. There are two hose nipples. But I only remember pulling one.

The manual says that hose number is 12. Mine is labeled 10. The manual also has the wrong hose number for my bike running to the flapper unit on the top of the air box.

Anyway, where does hose 12 connect, to the top or bottom nipple of the solenoid? Or does it matter.

    Appreciate the help.

As I study the manual, I think I have this all wrong. Hmmmm . . . So simple and I still managed to do something wrong. And the labeling error now seems to be the idiot doing the work!

This might be a false alarm if I can find the hoses the diagram in the manual indicates. I swear though the hoses came off differently. Maybe some tech from back whenever changed things?

I've been looking at that for awhile, but, this is not the way things came off. I'm off to the garage to dig around.

PS - What part of Canada are you from? I started life in Brantford, Ontario.

I'm an hour east of Brantford, north of Dundas/Waterdown... the diagram isn't a true routing but you can figure out the vacuum circuits to solenoid, flapper valve, etc. I replaced a couple of those up front because I just wanted them a bit longer so easier to connect when refitting airbox.

I can tell you one thing, that’s not a job I will do ever again. I found the offending tubes but you need like 9 inch fingers to get it together. Fortunately I guess I didn’t need to waste thread space!

Ah yes, the esteemed Mr. Bell. I was at the museum in Loch Ness, Scotland where he tested airfoils and hydrofoils, and also have been to the museum center in Baddeck, Nova Scotia where he had lived at an estate there (I did not visit the estate). Oddly enough, I haven't explored the facilities in Brantford.... also the home of Walter Gretsky who just passed away, father of Wayne Gretsky.

And the first long distance call - - I think from Brantford to Gault. But I think Gault have been renamed.
