Greetings. I was lucky enough to find a new 2015 Gen 8 about 16 months ago. Love it. I tour with it along with my FJR and V-Strom. Every bike I have had since 2012 I have put Speed Bleeders on . Makes changing the brake/clutch fluid a snap. Well, I went to their fitment chart and they only go up to the 2009. I emailed the company to see if they had any more info but I thought I would ask here. The 2009 uses the M8 sized bleeder for brakes and clutch. Wonder if the Gen 8 does also? I will try the on line parts schematics too.

    TIA

    Ye olde Coyote

May I suggest you look for the part numbers of the 2009 and the 2014 VFRs bleeders. If they are the same, then you will know that after market auto bleeders that work on the 6th gen will also work on the 18th gen.

Yes, it seems the 2009 uses the 43352-568-003 all around but the 2015 uses that only in the rear and uses a 45111-MEL-013 in the front two calipers. Therefore, the SB8125L M8x1.25 is correct for the rear and clutch and the SB7100S M7x1.0 is correct for the two front calipers.

Hey, can we finish this thread? I see a chart that shows the SB7100S for the front calipers on the 8th Gen, but nothing for the rear or the clutch. If there is a size that fits, I'd like to do a full install. Thanks.

Did you ever determine what the difference was between the two. Were you able to find a bleeder to fit the rear? I know I just loved the speed bleeders I put on my VFR and when the time comes, I will be installing them on my Africa Twin also. I hope they are the same. I will find out when the time comes.

Thanks Coyote Chris. I've seen all the posts and appreciate your research, but was looking for someone who had completed the full install successfully with the correct sizes. I've asked the manufacturer also.

This is the reply I received when I enquired about speed bleeders for my bikes. I did purchase them but I still have not fitted them as I have received conflicting recommendations on them. I think I will give them a try at some stage though. 818A5BD4-BE2D-4440-AD29-7D3A6AD43DF4.png

I just heard back from Speed Bleeder and they gave me all the sizes for our bikes and the VFR1200 also:
The size(s) for your application is as follows:

    VFR800
    Front……SB7100S, M7 x 1.0
    Rear…….SB8125L, M8 x 1.25
    Clutch….. SB8125L, M8 x 1.25

    VFR1200

    Front……left SB8125L, M8 x 1.25 quantity 2; right SB8125L, M8 x 1.25 quantity 1
    Rear……. SB8125L, M8 x 1.25

This matches what the company sent you Philois. Please post if you ever install them. I'll do the same.
