When I was in High School back in the early 70's (last century), one of the guys at my school rode his MC year round. HIs commute was probably around7 - 8 miles. I didn't know exactly where he lived, just the area of the city. Part of that commute was freeway type ring road around the city.

Now if we lived in California or Florida or some other mild climate, that would nothing really. But I went to high school in Winnipeg Manitoba. Now there you have a hard ass biker doode.

I have a picture of Winnipeg. Not sure if this is Spring, Fall or Winter. They all look similar.

That could have been me during our week long heavy snow fall last winter. I shoveled every day at least once, most often two or three times. It got to the point, I could not throw the snow any further at my age with my restrictions. Thank you Jesus the snow stopped.

I bought my first ever snow blower a couple months ago just in case.

I'm a happy camper, got some miles before the weather sets in again. Gotta say driving for a living all I think about is coming home and getting out on the bike.
