    metal screen on the one side so I thought maybe. Being a barn find I took tank up and yeppers, a nest. Vac it out and blew out filter for now. A couple nuts in there to.

    ********worst thing is that mices sometimes pee in nest, and the pee is extremely corrosive and can ruin carbs.*******

    Pretty sure my original Honda air filter didn't have metal mesh in its construction, but that's been many moons in the past.
