It's 2020, let folks working 3 jobs and still have to choose between rent, medication to stay alive or eating a meal,
let banks force poor people out of their homes,
let sick people die for lack of access to healthcare.
But the idea that billionaires can pay more in taxes, just be a little less rich,
not poor, not struggling, just a little less rich,
is considered insane, socialist or communist.

How many more property owners have you spoken with that had to sell their rental properties and feels the same as you?

Yep, the absolute crap, BS, and outright crimes that both sides (especially the left!) gets away with these days is unfuc&ingbelievable!!!

 

The Liberals here, especially Trudeau are so elitists they refuse to abide by their own codes of ethics and take hand outs form business for personal gain often. But Conservative governments of the past have been almost as bad, especially the Mulroney Conservatives from a couple decades back, the Regan Era. We don't know about the New Democratic Party because they have never formed a government federally yet. But I am sure they will be as bad.

Our federal politicians are so entitled. The hope is though, they will get really fat at the public trough and die of a coronary early in life and will collect their fat pensions for far less time than those of us who pay into our pension plans.

 

Does eviction ban include rent forgiveness or just accumulative over the eviction ban period? can you give the specifics?

My original post was about the social justice in economy, amount of taxes paid per income comparison of the poor vs billionaires,
our current Federal guidelines in determining poverty & above poverty.

When poor people have to pay 12-25% of their total income to taxes and billionaires getting away with paying $750 a year; that's not social justice.

Including the term "Social Justice" always strengthens your straw-man argument against your society, doesn't it?

There is no such thing as "Social Justice" in the modern world. And there never has been. There is absolutely no evidence (throughout the entire 5,000 year long record of "written human history") of any civilization (current or prior) ever achieving anything close to "Social Justice"

"Social Justice" has never been achieved under any of the governmental/cultural/societal systems we've tried. Not even once. None of humanity's attempts at running a civilization-sized society has ever resulted in "Social Justice". Not Communism, not Socialism, not Fascism, not monarchy, not Democracy and not Constitutional Federal Republic.

"Liberty & Social Justice for all" = not a thing (as in: apparently not a thing you can define without being racist and calling for the end of America)
