I'm having zero luck finding a US spec VF500F windscreen. I've found the VF500F2 and several for the 1986 and later models, but nothing for my bike. Is there anyplace out there that sells them?

Also, I've seen one place selling conversions for F2 wheels for my bike, but I've not read anything about the conversion actually having been done to a VF500F. Does anyone have any pictures of this and personal experience with what needs to be done. It seems that the 750 is the only one mentioned and I'm just not familiar enough with the Interceptor yet to know if there are any major differences between the sizes.

    Thanks!
    Alden

Check with Lockhart Phillips, they make a replacement screen for all 500 interceptors.

The Lockhart Phillips is the one replacement I've found for the 500, but I've only seen it in the VF500F2 model, not the US spec one. Any idea where I can find the LP one for my bike?

I'm not sure what you mean by the US spec one. The body work is the same on all the 500s. My 86 has a lp screen on it.

That's what I thought too, but according to a few sites, the Canadian version came with full fairing and had a slightly different windscreen, and wouldn't fit the US version with the partial fairing. Maybe I'm reading too deeply into this though.

Sure, I've sold many kits for the F2 wheel swap on the 500's. Send me an e-mail and I'll see if I can dig up some pictures. If nothing else I can go out and take some shots of my bike, although the one with the F2 wheels is stripped down right now. At least it will give you an idea.

Many details are available on my site. Check that out and maybe some of your questions will be answered.
