Leo Vince 6th Generation

I just finished installing the LV SBK carbon fiber on my bike this morning. The install was pretty easy. I removed the baffles as soon as i got it all installed. so I don't know how quite it is with them in there. but it is fairly loud without the baffles. and it sounds awesome. I've only put about 50 miles on it since i installed the pipes, but they are great. i'll update this post if need be as i put more miles on them.

fwiw, the only thing i can compare them too is the stock exhaust. i've never heard any other aftermarket pipes on a vfr. but i'm very impressed with how the LV sound

How do the baffles come out? I'm new to this and I fixing to put some LV slip-on's on my 2006 VFR.

 

I have the Carbon Leo's as well. They have a deep but not too loud sound. Put the Power Commander and O2 Eliminators on today. WOW! What a difference! What little hesitation the bike had at certain RPM's is gone. Well worth the $.

 

I am thinking of putting Leo's on my '03. I already have a PCIII and O2 elims on an otherwise stock bike. I am curious what map you are using for the LV's. The only map I see for LV's is for the european model.

I just ordered the Leo Vince carbon slip on, K&N filter and PCIII. I can't wait to get everything on next week.

How hard is it to put the PCIII and O2 eliminators on?

 

PCIII is pretty straightforward even for a hack wrench as myself. Took all of 10 mins. Just lift the gas tank, find the throttle harness at the right rear of the airbox, unplug, and plug the two ends into the PCIII. Tuck everything back in and route the unit back to your underseat section. Secure it with supplied velcro, and connect power to the negative terminal of the battery. Put back together, and you are good to go.

O2's take a bit longer because you have to remove the left side panel.

I am running the map downloaded from Dynojet for the Staintune Exhaust. I may Dyno it later on and get a custom map, but probably won't. Runs very well with this map.

Sounds like that might be the answer for a VFR to sound sporty and sweet, but how would one the desribe the sound, compare it to something else; like, does it sound better than a yahama TRX-850? or can you even compare it to a Ducati?

Yes, 02 eliminators are required with the PCIII USB.

 

Hey Kia, I'm shopping for parts for my 06 VFR. Your price looks good for the LV Carbons, what can you do for an air filter and Power Commander? Also, what's the deal with the O2 eliminator? Sounds as tho you might be the VFR expert I've been looking for

 

The o2 sensors tell the VFR that the fuel needs to be reduced at certain rpm, basically, when cruising around the 6,000 rpm range. That's why the bike surges and has a "flat spot" right in the middle of the rev range. So adding the bypass plugs sends a false signal to the brain/cdi/pgm telling it to not lean the mixture out more. It keeps the fuel curve from leaning out. I run the Leo Vince Ti slip ons, and the Dynojet plugs (requires two), no problems at all, runs much better, sounds "meaner".

I've sold a few sets of Heli Bars, Leo Vince systems and O2 plugs to some other local VFR riders. I had to add the Heli bars and a ZG DB screen because I'm getting too lazy to lean forward.

Leo Vince, no longer offers a Ti VFR system, only aluminum and carbon fiber. I have two carbon fiber systems here in stock and one aluminum.

kia001, do you have the Leo Vince slip-ons for a 2004 VFR in stock?

By the way, Manny at Leo Vince USA said that the Staintune maps will work very well with the LVs. There is one for the cans with the plug in and one with the plug removed. Anyway a custom map isn't necessary, although Manny said you might get a pinch more (1 hp?) with a custom map.
