Just ordered my Saddlebags. Thinking about the liner set now.

Anyone using these? Are they useful? Are they waterproof? How is the quality?

    Thank You

They are useful and the quaility is fine, truth is you can stuff more into the boxes by not using them. The boxes themselves are waterproof, i've had no leaks whatsoever but our hardcases are made by Givi in Europe, not sure who makes yours.

I use zip lock plastic bags. It keeps things neater and easier to get at without making a mess of everything. All socks in one bag, all T shirts in another bag, electronic accessories in another bag, etc.

I have a set of Honda liners that came with my Saddlebags. Found the liners to be high quality, but not particularly useful. I can fit more into the Saddlebags without using the liners.

Liners are OK. Like others said: they are smaller than the total capacity of the shell. The liners do not compress easily...makes it annoying if you have an empty liner stored in the shell and then try to stuff a helmet in.

But it does make it a little more convenient to take clothes & stuff in/out of hard bags...just bring the packed liner w/ you instead of the entire shell.

Shells are waterproof, liner is not. I've had the VFR through a miserable downpour for >3 hours and not a drop of water in the shell. I'd second FRE's suggestion of using baggies for stuff that sensitive to water (camera, cell phone, etc...) for extra peace of mind.
