Hey all. I just purchased a used 2000 VFR800Fi and take delivery this weekend. I'm hoping owning and riding it is as fantastic and sublime as I've always imagined.

I rode metric cruisers in my 20s, got away from it for a while, and now have the bug again. I've always longed for a 5th gen VFR, and so I finally decided it was time to make the dream a reality.
I found a gently used, completely stock, and well maintained 2000 with around 23k miles for a fair price. It's a bit of a drive to pick it up, but hopefully totally worth it.
I'm looking forward to spending some time in this forum (mostly in the winter when I'm not riding), and learning more about these beautiful machines.
Pictures to follow once I get her home.

but it's better than that, there's the rumble of the firing order, 1-0-3-0-0-2-0-4-, and there's hearing the airbox hit resonance on the long intake duct before the flapper opens then hearing it honk again on the short intake duct as 10,000 RPMs arrives. It's a treat all the way across the rev-range from idle to redline.
