Hi,think i may have upset vacuum.when i part stripped petcock. Fuel trickles out and doesnt make carbs. Looked at how to make free flowing looks straight forward. Can i blank vacuum pipe off by tank? Also the hose from petcock to t-piece if i fill with fuel wont reach carbs ,also been told this is 7mm but its a lot bigger more like size of thumb nail,that's outer diameter. Please help if anyone able to
It's only been 30-odd years since I owned a VF500F...but I do have the service manual for one. The fuel tap appears to require vacuum to allow flow when in on position but not when in RES position. dija check the sediment bowl and screen under the petcock for debris ? it might help to drain and flush the tank and check for rust.
